The idea of creating this blog is especially for our baking hobby and anything got to do with cooking. We hope that you will be enjoying it too as much as we do ;)
i bake some cupcakes yesterday, to surprise a nephew shahriman whose 9th birthday falls today, on deepavali day. i only managed to decorate the cupcakes just now as i had to attend a cousin's wedding in ipoh last night.
as shahriman is more into motorsports, mother suggested that we should buy the same car chocolate that i did for another nephew daniel. luckily a local supermarket still sells that. this time i didn't unwrap the car chocolate, but placed them exactly as it is on the decorated cupcakes instead. i guess it looks much real that way.
we gonna bring the kids plus shahriman for breakfast at mcD in ipoh later. we will see of where we shall surprise shahriman with his race car birthday cupcakes. do check back my personal blog later for the updates :~)
kuE's note: interested in my cupcakes? kindly find out about the prices here.
we wanna visit an auntie (my mom's elder sis) in the hospital shortly. so i made these as she is so eager for my cupcakes. they are in perak colours (white, yellow & black) as requested by mom :)
blimey! what a great co-incidence that this special 100th' post is about megat's birthday cupcakes. and as usual, here's a screenshot of my blogspot' dashboard as a proof.
alright then... while we are waiting for lil' safiya, let me show you people of megat's birthday cupcakes--
this time its chocolate cupcakes, recipe found from here.
while the cupcakes design were inspired by This Mama Cooks!' baby face cupcakes. even though she make those for baby shower, i find that they are suitable for boys too :0)
actually i did dream of trying to make ben 10' cupcakes using fondant; but unfortunately i am not good at sculpturing it yet like this ipoh mali gal huhu... anyhow, what ever it is, i don't care ler as long as megat lurves them too! ;) go here to view the mini birthday party pics.
kuE's note: go here and here to see what i baked for megat on the same day last year :)
today i baked teacher's day cupcakes for megat's class teacher. he gonna bring this tomorrow, for their school's teacher's day celebration. the best thing was i didn't remember that the class teacher for this year is a guy. so at first i already thought of piping cute florals on the cupcakes. luckily megat reminded me on our way back from his school-- "ma, my lǎo shī this year is a guy. so what cupcakes you gonna do for him?". "o ya.. i will think of something", i told him.
so here you go... face cupcakes for lǎo shī--
the designs are all inspired by the many wonderful face cupcakes pics on flickr.
i am so glad that megat is so happy with my creations. he also said that he is so proud of me, for doing all the wonderful things for him. owh dear... how sweet of you! i guess thats because mama lurve you so much!!! mwahh...
and as usual, of course i have to make some extras for the kids. well, besides that, guess who loves cupcakes too? hehe... anyhow i decided to keep those for breakfast tomorrow, just to surprise them :) meaning that i didn't tell them that i have some extras. if you could see, i love to surprise people!
kuE's note: if you are interested with this, then you may go here and here to view my past creations for teacher's day.

girlish cupcakes for puteri's class party
a few weeks ago, i baked cupcakes with names for megat's classmates, together with his teachers. this time around is puteri's turn...
this is a pic of my work table. far behind were my two ovens and my new kenwood mixer ;)
these cupcakes were individually packed in a round clear box, ready to go for puteri's year-end class party tomorrow. all were pink, maroon and a touch of yellow for girls.
a close-up of one of the cupcakes.
these five were among all the girlish cupcakes i did for puteri's class party

of still in the raya mood...
some of you people may know that i hate last min.! the secretary of my former primary school's PTA text me last night about us having a committee meeting at 3pm today grr... but since i am a strong lady, i would still try to do the best of me, regards of anything.
despite of that, also since i was a bit free, with no work (temporarily), i baked some raya cupcakes this morning, to be brought to the meeting. i was so glad that they love my cupcakes so much. i guess it was all based on the 'Q' of our cupcakes that mentioned before here. some even thought of ordering in the near future ;)

ring-around-the-rosy cupcakes
this one no one's, inspired by betty crocker's -- simply trying the technique ;)
i guess its perfect for polka-dot theme too! what say you?
kuE's update, about 12 hours later: mom loves my latest creation ;) so this two boxes of box of 9 have been nicely packed for a local maybank's manager, as a gift from us. he will pick this up later on his way back from the ocpd's rayaopen house. i am going there shortly too! alright then... byeee!!!...
we baked these last night as a raya treat for megat's classmate. the best thing was, megat thought of bringing some raya goodies for them last week when the school re-open on wednesday. how ler... to give them a piece of cookies each. so i told megat that its better for us to give them cupcakes! megat was sooo excited... he was so happy too when i helped him to bring them to the school this morning.
"thank you mama. i love you so much..." , he said. i love you too! mwahhh...

pink theme cupcakes for kak zaireen
i am so glad that kak zaireen loves her cupcakes. she told me to bake for her as much as i could, but at least she needs a minimum of three boxes of box of 9. she understand my situation as she saw me at work ;) anyhow i managed to bake five boxes for her! plus one extra for grandmother, who wanted to give someone as a gift.
kak zaireen dropped-by just on time, when i wanted to arrange the cupcakes in the boxes accordingly (refer right pic). after the 'kiss-kiss', she smiled, looking at all those cupcakes.
an uncle and his family from taman melawati in kl were here too that time. he kept asking whether i did some extras for him to buy.
but... suddenly kak zaireen said, "its alright. i korbankan two boxes...", while pushed two boxes towards them.
"how about you?", they asked.
" i could ask kuE to bake more and pass them to her sister on wednesday".

the day i am still baking raya cupcakes...
...while everyone were celebrating raya. thats right. our house was full of guest, while i was busy in the kitchen, decorating raya cupcakes for kay's auntie this morning. take note that i didn't take pic of her order cuz its the same with my raya cupcakes sample. the one on the left was my sis, arranging truffle made by her, and raya cupcakes made by me.
a cousin-in-law, kak zaireen was very interested, after she tasted one. she immediately ordered five boxes of box of 9. since she's gonna go back to kl tomorrow, i had to bake hers tonight. as you could see, i am in the mid of baking while i took the chance to blog lol... ;) anyhow i will only do the frosting tomorrow morning though, as kak zaireen will only be going back in the afternoon. so do not forget to check-out pics of her pink theme cupcakes tomorrow hehe...

multi-colour swirl cupcakes
we baked birthday cupcakes for a surprise again! hehe... told ya that i love to see the happy faces. last sunday we did for our TAM's and it was indeed a success. we will see how it goes this time ;)
take note that i ain't use wilton's size 1M tip though. i only use size 852 tip from a local shop selling baking stuff lol... looks like i gotta practise more and more and more and...
i was blog hopping few days ago when i saw this that really inspired me to try a hand on it. at first i thought that its a great idea for deepavali. but since i was gonna bake some cupcakes for little miss kechik... hey! why not -- on another thought, let me give myself a try on that design at the same time too ;) *phew* terketor-ketor jugak ler lol...

grandma's 80th birthday cuppies
we have just finished baking and decorating some butter cupcakes, specially for bah's 80th birthday this sunday. actually we gonna bring those with us to penang tomorrow. but its just gonna be like a small surprise for her during our sunday breakfast there. read more here.
till then... i hope that you will have a great weekend with your loved ones.
alright people, i gtg now... ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz... lol ;)
other than the ball game cupcakes, i also baked big number "8" cake for megat's birthday party yesterday. i woke-up late today around 9.30 am - tired flat lol... i only manage to load these pics today as i can't seems to have the energy to stay longer last night, to update this blog.
we were surely glad that guest loves the cupcakes so much. in fact they were kinda surprised that we did all the cakes ourselves ;)
one of my favourite books recently is this one that i bought in penang early of the month. i never feel bored flipping through the pages, looking at the colourful pages of cakes and cupcakes many times...
thus, the book inspired me to bake some cupcakes today to make these...
we were just kinda practising for megat's birthday party that gonna be held next month. we thought of doing the baking ourselves this time, that would be more meaningful.
